- Hasegawa Masaaki Director of Business Promotion Section of Japan Patent Information Organization
In 1981, Masaaki Hasegawa joined the Japan Patent Information Center (Japatic), the public organization established to process and provide the vast patent information through the use of computers. Japatic is reconstructed into Japio, Japan Patent Inforamtion Organization in 1985, and through his career in Japatic and Japio, he has experienced various tasks including data processing of PATOLIS, the first commercial patent information retrieval system in Japan, start-up of JPO data standardization, launching of JPO's IPDL, and translation business of US patents. Currently he is the director of Business Promotion Section and responsible for Japio's new businesses like "Japio Global Patent Gateway" which provide easy access to worldwide patent information.

- Dr. Christine Kaemmer Product Distribution Services of EPO
Christine Kaemmer studied Chinese, Japanese and Philosophy at the University of Goettingen (Germany) and spent part of this period in Asia for language and culture studies and internships. She obtained a Ph.D. in Chinese studies at the University of Tuebingen (Germany) and is fluent in Chinese and Japanese.
In 2005, Christine Kaemmer joined the European Patent Office (EPO) and has been working in the Directorate Product Distribution and Specialised Services since then. As a member of the Asian patent information services based in Vienna, she is mainly responsible for Chinese patent information. The Asian patent information services are offered by the EPO to help users, mainly from industry, to better understand and use patent information from Asian countries. In her daily work, Christine Kaemmer gives advice on Asian patent information and documentation matters, including help with searching free information sources. She also gives regular speeches and training courses on this subject.

Major Career
Heetae Kim has been working for the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) since 1992, when he started his career as an examiner at KIPO.
As director of KIPO's Information Planning Division, he has been responsible for policies on the utilization and dissemination of Korean patent information to the public since 2012.
He has professional expertise regarding the patent system through his work experience as a patent examiner, administrative patent judge, and patent lawsuit solicitor.He has also cultivated a wealth of knowledge regarding international cooperation from his time as a part leader of the International Treaty Part, and director of the Multilateral Affairs Division.
From 2008 to 2011, he also worked as Intellectual Property Attaché of the Korean Embassy in Belgium while being involved in the negotiations for the FTA between the Republic of Korea and EU.

- Paul M. Saraceni Senior Vice President & Chief Intellectual Property Officer, RPX Corporation
Paul Saraceni joined RPX as Chief Intellectual Property Officer in September 2008. At RPX, he is responsible for all IP legal matters, and leads the team that handles all membership and patent license, acquisition, and divestiture agreements, other intellectual property counseling, and management of RPX's global patent and trademark portfolio, including prosecution.
Immediately prior to joining RPX, Mr. Saraceni was Vice President and Associate General Counsel, IP Strategy & Transactions, at Yahoo! Inc., where he developed and managed Yahoo!'s patent acquisition program. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Mr. Saraceni was Senior IP Counsel for the Technology & Manufacturing Group of Intel Corporation, responsible for leading that business unit's IP strategy and negotiations, including patent cross licenses and defense of patent assertions. Before moving in-house, he was a partner in the Silicon Valley IP boutique law firm of Derwin & Siegel.
Mr. Saraceni holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Bucknell University, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He is a registered Patent Attorney before the US Patent & Trademark Office, a member of the state bars of California and Texas, and a frequent speaker on the topics of IP strategy, negotiations, licensing, and acquisitions.

- Gerard J. Pannekoek President and CEO of Intellectual Property Exchange International, Inc.
Gerard J. Pannekoek joined IPXI Holdings, LLC, in November 2009, serving as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer. He possesses 30 years of diverse corporate experience, with areas of expertise and responsibility that include both domestic and international management, finance, marketing, and operations. Throughout his career, Mr. Pannekoek has developed and managed major projects and initiatives involving complex business issues, legal transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring.
Before assuming his present role at IPXI Holdings, Mr. Pannekoek was a Teaching Professor at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business.

- Yan Zhou Deputy Director of Beijing Intellectual Property Office
Yan Zhou served as deputy director at Beijing Research Institute of Science and Technology Information, and later headed Beijing Municipal Technology Patent Office. In 1999, she was appointed as deputy director of Beijing Intellectual Property Office and at present she holds the same position.
Ms Zhou is an expert registered in State Intellectual Property Office Think Tank and working as an adjunct professor at China University of Political Science and Law, as well as BeijingUniversityofChemicalTechnology. She also serves as deputy general director for Beijing Association of Overseas-Chinese Hi-tech Entrepreneurs. She has been enrolled in graduate study with the major in international law at Graduate School in Law & Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and acted as a visiting scholar at School of Law, University of Washington, studying on patent law.
Ms Zhou brings ages of experience in intellectual property practice management, as well as explores and develops several programs on protection of intellectual property rights for exhibitions, pledge financing, industry alliance, patent trust, and patent early warning. Based on above, local intellectual property management modes are enriched to a great extent. She has a very extensive track records of research projects concerning The Research on Enterprise Patent Commercialization, The Research on Patent Management in Intellectual Property Oriented Policy System, Intellectual Property Pledge Financing Service Mechanism Construction, etc.

- Dr. Richard Jennings Deputy Director of Cambridge Enterprise
Richard is Deputy Director of Cambridge Enterprise and a board member of both Cambridge Enterprise and its wholly owned consultancy company, Cambridge University Technical Services (CUTS). He is also a non-executive director of IfM Education and Consultancy Services Ltd, the Institute for Manufacturing's knowledge transfer company.
Formerly, Richard was Head of Chemical Research at Napp Research Centre on the Cambridge Science Park. He joined the University as Assistant Director for Industrial Cooperation of the Wolfson Cambridge Industrial Unit, with responsibility for biomedical projects, in 1988. In 1994, he became Director and also joined the board of the University's technology transfer company, now called Cambridge Enterprise. Richard was appointed Director of Research Policy in 2000 and joined Cambridge Enterprise in 2005 to establish its consultancy business.
Richard has a very extensive track record of establishing mutually beneficial university-industry collaborations and commercialising University-derived intellectual property through consultancy, licensing and spin-off companies. He has a D. Phil in Chemistry from the University of Sussex, is a non-executive director of Granta Design Ltd and a Fellow of St Edmund's College.

Keith Bergelt is the chief executive officer of Open Invention Network (OIN), the collaborative enterprise that enables innovation in open source and an increasingly vibrant ecosystem around Linux. In this capacity he is directly responsible for enabling, influencing and defending the integrity of the Linux ecosystem. Prior to joining the Open Invention Network, Mr. Bergelt served as president and CEO of two Hedge Funds – Paradox Capital and IPI.
Mr. Bergelt holds an Artium Baccalaureus degree from Duke University, a Jurist Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Theseus Institute in France. He is a frequent speaker on corporate strategy, finance and intellectual property management.

James F. Brelsford advises clients on complex intellectual property transactions, monetization strategies and IP litigation. - Jeffrey S. Draeger Director for Patent Strategies and Transactions in Intel
Mr. Draeger is the Director of Patent Strategy & Transactions at Intel Corporation. As Director of Patent Strategy and Transactions, Mr. Draeger focuses on patent portfolio development strategy,pre-litigation patent assertions, analysis of Intel's portfolio, patent licensing and patent purchase. Mr. Draeger's team analyzed and transacted several multi-hundred million dollar patent purchases, including RealNetworks and Interdigital. Mr. Draeger has also been heavily involved in key litigation and licensing efforts related to processor technology, including both offensive licensing and litigation efforts and defending Intel against other companies.
Previously, Mr. Draeger focused on portfolio development and prosecution management, including managing a group of over 30 patent attorneys and agents responsible for the development of the patent portfolios for Intel's core technologies (i.e., processors, chipsets, interconnect, etc.). Prior to managing portfolio development and prosecution, Mr. Draeger focused on preparation and prosecution of patent applications, patent analysis, patent portfolio development. Mr. Draeger was also a microprocessor designer at Intel and is a named inventor on two microprocessor patents.

Hongyu Feng holds a doctoral degree in business administration. He had served in Hisense Group since 1997, successively assuming the posts of assistant manager of management research center, general director of construction headquarters in Hisense information industrial park, assistant director of president office, assistant director of research and development Center, and director of management research center of Hisense College. Mr. Feng joined in MESNAC Co., Ltd. in 2010 as assistant director of research and development center for general work, assistant director of department of molding system and director of research institute of molding system. Mr. Maccoun specializes in patent licensing. For the past two years, he has been patent counsel at Google Inc. He was previously patent counsel at Hewlett-Packard Company, Motorola Inc., and Electric Power Research Institute. Previous to that he was an associate at Lee and Li, a leading Taiwan-based international law firm. From 1996 to 2000 Mr. Maccoun resided in Beijing and was Motorola's Director of Intellectual Property for the Greater China Region.
He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. (honors Magna Cum Laude) from the University of San Francisco. In 1984 he attended summer law study program at Peking University and Fudan University. He is fluent in Chinese. Mr. Maccoun is a member of the State Bar of California and a Registered Patent Attorney.
